- Data ResidencyOur shared plans can host data in Europe (Ireland) or USA (East). If you need to keep data in Canada, UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Singapore or Australia go with Dedicated.
- Higher Capacity and PerformanceDedicated plans start at 100 GB of storage and 4 CPUs and scale in to 16 TB and 80 cores, enough to power any large scale data warehouse.
- Predictable and Stable PerformanceThe entire server and database engine is reserved for your tasks and data operations so all resources (memory, disk and CPU) are reserved and available at any time.
- Direct Data ConnectionWith Dedicated you can use your favourite SQL IDE or any other tool compatible with SQL Azure DB (and soon PostgreSQL) to connect and work directly with the data.
- Data Scripts ModuleData Scripts (machine learning, advanced statistics) is only available on dedicated for security and performance reasons.
